Your Health & Safety Comes First
DPV Health Services Will Remain Open
DPV Health will continue to keep services open and support the community through these challenging times. Our highest priority is the continued health and safety of our clients and our employees. To ensure this, a comprehensive infection control program has been implemented in all program areas.
As an essential service, government has deemed it necessary that DPV Health and other community health organisations continue to provide care and support to the communities we serve during the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Should these circumstances change, we will endeavour to contact our clients as soon as possible.
Telehealth – Video & Phone Appointments
To help ensure service continuity, some services will move to telephone-based or online (video) appointments to minimise the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Where possible telephone-based appointments will also be used to minimize client and staff travel. For more information on Telehealth services click here
Minimizing Risk
DPV Health is conducting phone and onsite screening for COVID-19 risk factors of all clients attending our sites.
If you are a client or family member/carer, and believe you may be at risk of COVID-19, please do not come into our centres but rather call DPV Health on 1300 234 263.
COVID-19 Risk factors include:
- Fever and respiratory symptoms (cough, shortness of breath) and
- Returned from international travel within the last 14 days or
- Close contact with someone who is a confirmed COVID-19
Any clients who have symptoms will be isolated and screened to determine if they are at risk and/or directed to attend their GP; it is vital that we prioritise the health and safety of our staff and clients and those in our wider community.
We continue to strongly encourage the use of good infection control practices, including washing hands for 20 seconds with soap, as well as maintaining 1.5m physical distancing strategies. These are in practice across all our sites. DPV Health staff will use personal protective equipment to maintain infection control where appropriate and consistent with Department of Health and Human Services specifications.
