Nutrition and Food environments
Everyone deserves access to nutritious food and environments that support good health, whether at home, school, work, or in the community. Eating well supports our physical and mental health, helps prevent chronic conditions, and improves overall wellbeing and quality of life.
Despite the benefits, many people don’t meet the recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables. In 2023, only 35.2% of Victorians adults met the recommended fruit intake, and just 5.7% consumed enough vegetables (source: VPHS 2023).

That’s why DPV Health is committed to creating nourishing food environments across the Hume and Whittlesea communities. We collaborate with schools, early childhood services, workplaces, and community groups to promote food literacy, support inclusive food policies and practices, and increase access to nutritious options.
