Medical Termination of Pregnancy and long acting and reversible contraception

Our professional staff offer skilled medical and counselling support for your unplanned pregnancy. A doctor’s referral is not required to access our family planning service, and we support your right to choose what is best for you and your individual circumstances. Abortion (termination of pregnancy) is a safe and legal medical procedure. We now offer Bulk Billing for our Family Planning services.

An ultrasound assessment is carried out on site as part of the consultation. If you choose termination of pregnancy, there are two options:

Medication abortion (medication termination of pregnancy)

In Australia, you can take doctor-prescribed tablets to terminate pregnancy up to nine weeks (63 days). After our doctor’s assessment and ultrasound, we provide the prescription and ongoing care.

Surgical abortion (surgical termination of pregnancy)

A limited number of patients who choose surgical abortion can be referred by us to Northern Health in Broadmeadows.

Have a confidential discussion with our staff to find out how we can assist you.

Our doctors can advise and assist you on what method of birth control is best for you. At our Clinic we can place intrauterine devices (IUDs) including copper IUDs, as well as implants.
