The DPV Health Dental Clinic offers a general dental practice and emergency service program within public sector guidelines.
Our clinic offers restorative dental treatment, dentures and emergency care for adults, in addition to a School Dental Program and Early Childhood Oral Health Program. We also provide specialist referrals to the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.
Our services are:
- Adult Dental Program – providing general dental care for eligible adults
- Youth Dental Program – provides care for secondary school children from Years 7 – 12
- School Dental Program – care for all primary school children from Prep to Year 6
- Early Childhood Oral Health Program – aims to improve the oral health of pre-school aged children
- Child Dental Care
- Emergency Dental Services – emergencies include dental pain and facial swelling (limited appointments are available and are made for the same day)
- Prosthetic Treatment – Fees apply for dentures of any type

Frequently Asked Questions
Our service is available to people living in the cities of Whittlesea and Hume, and extends to include residents in the surrounding areas.
Clients using the Adult Dental Program or Emergency Services must be aged 18 years or over, and have a valid Pension Card or Health Care Card. A waiting list applies for the Adult Dental Program.
Our Youth Dental Program can be accessed by secondary school children (Years 7-12) who have a Concession Card or are dependants of a Concession Card Holder.
Our School Dental Program is available to all primary school children, from Prep to Year 6.
The Early Childhood Oral Health Program provides care for all preschoolers, aged 0-5 years.
We also accept self-referrals. Clients who have a current Health Care Card or Pension Card will be placed on a waiting list for Adult Dental Program. Appointments for all clients under 18 years of age are to be booked by a parent or guardian.
Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) may cover part or the full cost of some dental services for:
- Children aged 0 – 12 years
- Young people up to 17 years who hold a healthcare or pensioner concession card or are dependents of a concession card holder
Private emergency and general dental services are available to anyone at full fee for service.

The Youth Dental Program
This is a free service.
Both our School Dental Program and Early Childhood Oral Health Program is free to dependents of Concession Card holders. Dependents of non-Concession Card holders are required to pay a flat fee.
Fee exemptions apply to the following for Dental Services, unless there is a funding and service agreement in place that takes precedence:
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders
- Homeless people and people at risk of homelessness
- Refugees and Asylum Seekers
- Children and young people aged 0-17 years who are health care card holders
- All youth justice clients up to 18 years of age, who are in Residential Care provided by the Children Youth and Families Division of DHS
To book an appointment at any of our dental sites please call 1300 234 263 and select Option 2. The service is available Mon-Fri, 8am – 4pm
Wait lists may apply for bookings. Priority is given according to the severity of condition.
