
Women’s Health Nursing
The Women’s Health Nurse offers free health screening, education and information to women of any age.
This service welcomes all women, especially those who have Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island or Refugee backgrounds and/or women with special needs.
Our service provides confidential information and advice to women in a safe and respectful space.
We can help you with:
- Cervical Screening Tests (Pap Test)
- Assistance to arrange Breast Screen appointments
- Advice regarding health checks at different ages and life stages.
Information on:
- Breast health
- Family planning and contraception
- Pre pregnancy advice and counselling
- Menstrual (period) difficulties
- Managing changes associated with perimenopause and menopause
- Vulval health
- Continence advice and management
- Healthy lifestyle throughout the lifespan
- General health information
Referrals to a wide range of health and wellbeing services.
Help to navigate health services.
We are also available to provide health education sessions to community groups.

A female nurse who has additional qualifications in Sexual and Reproductive Health, Midwifery, Natural Family Planning, Continence Promotion and Management and Women’s Health

How do I book in?
How to make an appointment
- Call DPV Health on 1300 234 263
- Press 4 for all other Health Services (do not press 1 for medical as it takes you to medical reception who cannot make appointments for this clinic)
- Press 1 for new appointment with Allied Health Clinicians
- Ask for an appointment to see the Women’s Health Nurse. Please tell them if you need a Cervical Screening Test so that they can make a note of it when booking the appointment.
Appointments are usually face to face at the clinic but can be provided on the telephone when necessary.
Appointments are available on Tuesday and Wednesday at Mill Park.
