Supporting Access to Primary Healthcare for Multicultural Communities in the City of Hume 

In collaboration with the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), DPV Health is partnering with primary care providers in Hume to improve healthcare access and improve service experiences for multicultural communities. This partnership is dedicated to supporting providers to deliver culturally responsive care through tailored capacity building opportunities.

Migrants in Hume bring a wealth of cultural knowledge, strong social networks, and diverse lived experiences to the region. However, navigating Australia’s complex healthcare system can be challenging due to lower health literacy, varying health care experience and due to existing gaps in inclusive approaches. By equipping healthcare providers to better address linguistic and cultural needs, we aim to foster a more equitable, accessible, and welcoming healthcare environment for everyone.
