2024 DPV Health MP Roundtable – Engaging Government To Support Our Community
DPV Health was delighted to welcome Members of Parliament (MP’s) and their representatives from Melbourne’s Outer North at the 2024 DPV Health MP Roundtable.
At the event, DPV Health was joined by
- Kathleen Matthews-Ward State MP for Broadmeadows
- Iwan Walters State MP for Greenvale
- Lauren Kathage State MP for Yan
- Delegates representing various MPs across Melbourne’s Outer North.
The forum provided an opportunity for DPV Health to brief attendees on
- DPV Health’s impact and achievements over the 2023/24 year
- Important community advocacy priorities and funding to
- o Expand local service delivery to meet growing demand: Aged Care, GP’s, Women’s Health, Refugee Health, Homelessness, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, and Men’s Behaviour Change Program
o Establish Child & Family Hubs across Melbourne’s North
o Commence bicultural in-reach services in social housing settings
o Invest in health hubs in Broadmeadows, Craigieburn & Epping
o Ensure Community Hospitals are funded
o Build the Epping Wollert Train Line
