DPV Health and the University of the Third Age (U3A) are committed to supporting Melbourne’s aging population with more assistance in navigating the health system and accessing local healthcare services.

✅ DPV Health and U3A have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work collaboratively on key projects to enable older communities to have great access to aged care services.

✅ At a U3A members morning tea on Monday March 3, DPV Health and U3A management teams celebrated the signing of the MOU and briefed members on the opportunities and benefits the partnership will deliver.

✅ The MOU addresses the key issue of supporting older people to register with My Aged Care to access healthcare services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program, and Home Care Packages.

✅ A series of education workshops on health topics most relevant to the age sector will be scheduled regularly, such as falls prevention, nutrition, weight management, meal preparation, exercise, strength training, and use of equipment and aids to support mobility.

DPV Health’s CEO Don Tidbury, praised the important work conducted by U3A and stated, “DPV Health is delighted to partner with U3A, an organisation that has similar values and purpose, in supporting older people to live happier and healthier lives”. He went onto say that “DPV Health’s comprehensive range of healthcare services and Home Care Package solutions for the aging population will provide much needed service options for the U3A members. These programs will remove some of the barriers to accessing healthcare at this vital stage of their lives”.

Whittlesea U3A President, Natalie Lim, highlighted the need for older people to develop their digital skills to access Telehealth and health information, whilst engaging in learning activities, maintain social connection and accessing support to live independently longer. “The partnership with DPV Health will help each and every one of our U3A members in taking a large step in managing their health. We look forward to a long and rewarding relationship”

The MOU commenced on 3rd March 2025.
