As part of Diabetes Week, the Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations (ACADI) have launched the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department – Diabetes service.

This Victorian Virtual Emergency Department- Diabetes Service aims to provide emergency specialist support services for individuals living with diabetes.
You will have access care for non-Life-threatening emergencies 24hours a day, 7 days a week.
You will be connected to doctors and nurses via a video call and receive medical advice.

This innovative new service, based at Northern Health’s Victorian Virtual Emergency Department, will revolutionise the management of diabetes emergencies across Victoria.
This service will aim to provide free emergency telehealth care delivered by diabetes nurse practitioners, endocrinologists, and other clinicians to enhance triaging and management of diabetes patients at the time of an emergency.
