Pride in the North Collaborative

The Pride in the North Collaborative is the coming together of communities and a range of health and community organisations in the outer north of Melbourne primarily to show their support and advance their work in supporting members of the LGBTIQ+ communities. Members support the Collaborative by driving implementation of initiatives throughout their respective organisations, networks, and sectors.

Pride in the North is a collaboration supported by local health organisations in Melbourne’s north:

DPV Health, Northern Health, Nexus Primary Health, Kilmore District Health, Sunbury Cobaw community Health, Banyule Community Health, Whittlesea Community Connections, Hume City Council, City of Whittlesea, Mitchel Shire and Banyule City Council.

DPV Health CEO Don Tidbury said about the partnership “As an inclusive organisation, it is essential we stand beside our industry partners and the queer community to support gender and sexuality diversity in Australia.”

Our vision is to create an environment in the north of Melbourne where people identifying as LGBTIQ+ feel safe, accepted, and have equal access to a range of health and community services.
