What is the process for accessing service?

 1. Initial Consult:

The initial point of contact for all clients accessing the service will be through an appointment with a sexual and reproductive health trained Practice Nurse. During this appointment, the nurse will conduct a comprehensive Sexual Health assessment (Sexual Health history taking and initial support). Depending on the presenting medical conditions, the nurse will organise with the doctor for any pre-appointment examinations, such as blood tests that are required for you to continue your treatment journey.

2. First Appointment:

After completion of the assessment, the nurse will book your first appointment with a GP most suited to your preference and situation.  They will contact you prior to your appointment to ensure that all tests and investigations have been received so your treatment can continue seamlessly.

3. Follow Up:

Depending on your needs, you will be able to contact the nursing team for follow ups at any time throughout your journey, and as with any other GP clinic, you can book an appointment with your GP whenever you need to. If our GP is unable to provide a specific service that you are seeking, they will work with you and the nurse to provide a referral to a suitable alternate service.
