LGBTIQ Support

Everyone belongs

DPV Health Services

We are here to support you with all your healthcare needs.

We offer a range of healthcare services including medical, dental, disability, mental health, physical health and community support, in a safe, non-judgemental and welcoming environment. Staff at DPV Health have completed an inclusion-training program on the needs and experiences of LGBTIQ people. The training features the perspectives of people from diverse backgrounds, information on inclusive language as well as the use of correct pronouns and names to ensure that everyone feels welcomed.

Discrimination affects health

We recognise that experiencing discrimination negatively impacts a person’s health and wellbeing. You don’t have to feel alone. Talk to us if you need support and we may be able to connect you, your family or carer to:

  • counselling services
  • local support groups or networks (for individuals or families and carers)
  • other appropriate services

Confidentiality and disclosure

Your privacy and safety are our priority. You have the right to a confidential health service, and any issues you discuss with us about your sexual orientation, gender identity, or intersex variations remain confidential.

We are Rainbow Tick Accredited

We are proud to announce that DPV Health has achieved a Rainbow Tick Accreditation, which verifies that our health services are inclusive, safe and friendly for LGBTIQ service users and staff! For more information on our Rainbow Tick Accreditation click here

Our children deserve a healthy future

What our children eat and drink at school impacts their health and well-being. Right now, 99% of school canteens are serving foods high in saturated fat, sugar, and salt. The Department of Education and Training (DET) has the power to change this.

Sign the statement to show your support for healthier food and drink options in Victorian school canteens.
